TRUE ADVENTURE

The best way that a man could test his readiness to encounter the common variety of mankind would be to climb down a chimney into any house at random, and get on as well as possible with the people inside. And that is essentially what each one of us did on the day that he was born. This is, indeed, the sublime and special romance of the family. It is romantic because it is a toss-up. It is romantic because it is everything that its enemies call it. It is romantic because it is arbitrary. It is romantic because it is there...The element of adventure begins to exist; for an adventure is, by its nature, a thing that comes to us. It is a thing that chooses us, not a thing that we choose...The supreme adventure is being born. In other words, when we step into the family we step into a fairytale. ~GK Chesterton, Heretics

Summer Photos

The sandbox in our yard was the all the kids favorite thing to do this summer!

Kai was old enough to be in soccer...

Thanks for posting these! We love seeing a glimpse into life of the kidlets.

I love that the Ireland soccer jersey set fits Suava for her first round at soccer! She looks like a pro. And does she ever look sweet in her school pictures! I love Caitanna's adoring look.

Jordan says Kai looks like a 'shyster' which is definitely a good thing in his books=). I can't believe he built that tower. And he looks so excited to go on his date with mommy.

Caitanna looks like a doll! She is so adorable! I love her smile and all her red curls. She looks so happy when she's smiling—even her eyes smile.

Thanks again so much for putting up pictures. We love your kids extremely much (we love you too=) and miss you all.

Wonderful to see you and our precious, precious grandkids! Every time we see new pictures of them they are more adorable than before--if that's possible! Caitanna's curly red hair is beautiful, and what a sweet smile that little gal's got! Suava looks quite the competent kindergartener, and Kai looks all boy, which is good--boys should be boys! Give them lots of hugs and kisses from Grandmummy and Granddaddy!
